what have I done wrong?

Post by Undies » Sat Nov 29, 2003 3:43 am

Using build MQ2-Latest.zip was last modified: November 28 2003 00:12:47

when I run MQ2 the computer beeps and an MQ window pops up saying

"Incorrect Client Version"
Tue Nov 25 02:59:30 2003

EDIT: and then none of the MQ2 stuff appears in EQ.
(WINXP, VS6)

I had this same problem, open eqgame.ini in your MQ directory and change "ClientOverride" to 1

thanks.... that seems to have fixed it... I saw your post but there was no explanation on how to fix it... maybe I should not have started another thread.

EDIT:
I found another fix.

leaving ClientOverride=0

and changing
ClientVersion=Tue Nov 25 01:59:xx 2003

to

ClientVersion=Tue Nov 25 02:59:xx 2003

also works...

EDIT2: OK I am an idiot! I admit it! I see this has been posted many times before... I guess I was impatient.

Seeing as it is a time zone problem, something to do with daylight saving I presume, is there any simple solution to this to prevent morons like me posting the same problem all the time?

eg. set the hours to xx or something? I can see it is useful to not override the client version... so in the above example

ClientVersion=Tue Nov 25 0x:59:xx 2003 should be set as the default in the zip file?
