No .exe in MQ2 Compile, using Visual C++ 6

System: Windows XP Home
Devenv: Visual C++ 6.0 (vs2000)

Here's exactly what I've done so far:

1. Downloaded and extracted to c:\mq2
2. ran MQ2Auth.exe locally to create the .h files.
3. Copy both files to a different machine, running Win2k server.
- files are dated 11/25/03, 1:45:22PM
4. Run MQ2Auth on that machine.
5. Copy both files back to the build machine.
- files now dated 11/26/03, 3:12:30PM
6. Bring up the devenv by clicking on macroquest2.dsw
7. Select Build/Set Active Config
8. Set MQ2Main-Win32 Release as active.
9. Hit (F7) to build mq2main.dll
- no compile errors
10. Select Build/Batch Build. Everything is checked. Click Build.
- no compile errors

And that's as far as I get. No .exe file. I am new to this (relatively) but I've compiled MQ1 in the past with no problems. I think I've got it right to this point, but not sure why I'm not getting the .exe.

Update:

I'm a systems engineer. I work with Microsoft stuff. So I decided I'd try "The Microsoft Solution".

Deleted all build dirs, rebooted, started from scratch and voila!

Now to see if it works. :)

Heyo, long time no see (havent been here a long time)

Quick question that I just cant seem to figure out.

After compiling in (V6++) ...I go to the BUILD..BATCH BUILD.. menu thing and the batch build option is greyed out! I cant select it for some reason.

The last thing my build window says is MQ2UTILITIES.cpp there's no confirmation that it finished or nothing..just ends there. I presume its done building? no idea tho.

Nonetheless the batchbuild window is greyed out and i cant select it! Any ideas would be great thanks spent last 45 mins looking in search and havent really seen anything describing same issue.

EDIT: ok so I found out it isnt finished at MQ2utilities.cpp, but nonetheless thats where my comp stops doing anything! Doesnt say there's an error, no crashing, just wont finish the build? Any ideas? I've run the mq2auth.exe (which just flashed a black screen really quickly) and then i compiled after making mq2main the active project..yet still nothing

Any help would be appreciated to get past the utilites prob..thanks!

#2 macroquest2.exe is in the download
#3 "hanging at MQ2Utilities" was solved in a previous update. download the newest version.
