I thought in depth and if I had enough time I could probably write a script for a warrior/cleric combo to EXP while im asleep. Its not hard and going afk in a populated zone exp'ing shouldnt be all that dangerous. Just rewrite most of the scripts here so they cant look for anything in particular and you should be fine. Just use logic and EQw and whamo exp all day. Also dont have it running 24/7 use it like you normally would anything over 16hours a day is semi suspicious to them and probably looked into. Just be smart about what you do and you will be fine. This is all common sense to most but for those of you who don't think I just did it for ya =).

I've been running an EXP macro on my one and only account virtually 24/7 for weeks. I only stopped for the patch.
Now why is going afk while macroing bad? Your macro shouldn't do anything that a live body sitting in front a keyboard couldn't do. Do GMs send you a tell when they think you're macroing and if you can't give a real person response do they ban you? Well if so you shouldn't be suspicious enough to get a tell in the first place.
Also, I find all your GM checks in your macros silly. GMs will be invis if they're auditing your character's activity, won't they? And if you jet the second they turn off GM invis it's pretty obvious what you're up to.
I'm sure I'll get banned eventually. If I wanted to I could use caution and not have my guy play 24 hours a day. Oh well.

I liked this story, was almost enough to make me want to macro while afk to try and whore myself out for info to the GMs "Gimee a fungi and I'll tell you a juicy tidbit!"
