Instrument Mods?

Post by TheColonel » Wed Nov 12, 2003 12:56 pm

I am completely in love with the new UI improvements... but something I've wanted for a long time is the ability, in ID orr the new UI improvment to view the insturment's modifier.... I'm not sure where this would be found, probably someplace similar to the "Backstab: 3%" or Channeling 4%" Type modifiers... but I haven't looked at all... just a wish list type thing I suppsoe.

This is actually planned for the item display window :)

Also, with $char(song,0,mod) or $char(buff,0,mod) you can see the mod for any song on you (my buff window and shortbuff window use this)

Not sure if that's the same... I'm talking about the "Percussion Instruments" skill that's on a drum... a "Hand Drum" has a 1.8x modifier on it... or 80% bonus.... DoTB are 2.4, 140% and The Thunderous Drums of Karana are 2.6... I think... but you get the point no? If this is what you're saying, just /smack me =)

Edit:: These bonuses are like focus effects.... the percussion thing would multiply and effect on a percussion based song by 1.8 with a hand drum, 2.6 with the DoTB... or TDoK whichever is in fact 2.6.... Like the Tuyen`s Chants... they do something like 30hps a tic with nothing equiped, but with TDoK they do 96hp a tic...

We're talking about the same modifier. Every song cast on you, you have the modifier for. If you sing selos and have a 2.1 drum and IM3, the song's mod is 2.4.. or something like that. My buff windows show that for every song on you. For item display, we plan on showing the instrument mod for the instrument itself.

Lax,

Maybe I should look at this myself instead of being lazy and asking you, but is this modifier value (on the song cast) the same as the modifier value for spells cast with and other enhancements? Not duration of course, but the "enhancement" which for instances causes C3 to give more than 14 mana per tick..

Nope, this is only for bard song modifier. I've never seen a modifier like that on anything else, maybe check buff level?
