I Feel silly asking but...

KK,

I am trying to understand the language a bit so I know what does what and how it does it and why. I ave a few basic MQ language questions if you could please help thanks before hand.

ok starting silly question generator:

1) What are the characters {} used for and I see them in the code here and there but what are they?

2) I am assuming | means reference line and is nothing more but for plain text references

3) /Sendkey down ctrl means doing an click with the ctrl key pressed then would /sendkey down shift be with the shift key?

4) in the snipit of code /if $p0==$v79 /return what does the $v79 mean, where does it come from and does the 79 matter could it be /if $p0==$v486 /return

Believe me I have a ton more but I will wait, if I missed the file that explains all of these and more then please post the url to get it, I really am enjoying learning and should soon have a macro to post for your perusal.

1. I haven't used these in any of my macros so I can't answer this...
2. You are correct | is used at the beginning of a line to make it a comment
3. this means you want to send and hold down whatever key you name after it. So you assertion that /sendkey down shift would be to hit shift and hold it down is correct
4. $v79 is a variable that is defined somewhere else in the macro.
