I seem to be having a problem with fileredirect. I am using the code:

It is basically the same as what you distribute but I changed it to be the same as what I named all my wineq2 eqclient.ini's. What seems to be happening is the eqlsplayerdata.ini is being copied over eqlsplayerdata-soandso.ini. instead of it being redirected... I may have misunderstood the usage but it seems to be backwards. Going to make sure that the Iniredirect is working as I think it should right now. Havent taken it past server select.


Edit: Hmm this should be in the IS forums... infact I didnt check there going to look there now.

Edit2: I found the thread there and it didnt clear it up any...

Edit3: I tried going all the way into the game and the eqclient.ini isnt redirecting at all. I will work on it more later. must kill weaponry now.

I have had similar problems getting IS to use that data like WinEQ does. I had to manually change my server name and number after the merge, and no matter which account I log in with (in EQ) it always defaults to the one (unlike WinEQ which uses whatever name I last logged in with).

I also can't seem to figure out how to make a second profile that uses nosound.txt to start that session of EQ without sound. I thought it might be an xml setting ( <Setting Name="sound">0</Setting> ) but that didn't work.

I too have searched both the LavishSoft and ISMods forums and you're the first person I've seen to be having similar problems.

Please post questions that have nothing to do with ISXEQ on the Lavish boards I read and respond to those immediately, MQ2 forums not so much

Anyway, the sound option in IS profiles doesnt do anything at all right now.

I know, I only replied here because he's the first person I've seen with the same problem. I figured it was something I was doing wrong or I'd have posted on there a while ago
