/macro forage.mac (without MQ running)

Post by yocal » Mon Jun 17, 2002 1:47 pm

Hi...

I was trying some homemade macros, and I typed:

/macro forage.mac (without MQ running)

But WHOOPS, forgot to start MQ... So command didnt do anything (locally)... In some of the recent posts u, Plazmic, writes that the client sends (if command not regonized) the string to the server... Could that be a ban reason?

Salutations,
I've done this sort of thing 3 times since macroquest's first public release, I'm yet to get a ban...

Salutations,
Perhaps they don't log those commands... though i shouldn't have said that... now they will if they aren't

logging

Imagine how many wrong typed commands are sent to the server, Im sure for time being u will get away with it. I guess in future they could filter any /macro commands and log them, but depends how long it takes em to get concerned about macroquest.

All you need to do is create a lil ol batch file to prevent running EQ without starting macroquest 1st!

Don't even have to do that.. The new version runs in the systray now.. I just put a shortcut to the program in my startup menu.. So, it's already loaded everytime I boot up my machine.
