Hey Noob here. I just downloaded IRC-20030111.zip off of http://macroquest2.com/IRC/ and i keep getting incorrect Client Version was wondering if anyone could give me a hand i also d/l the new offsets from macro. please tell me what to do i am lost. Thank You :)

That is about 4 months outdated. Get the latest one from CVS, do a search and there's a few posts floating around with instructions.

Ty :) i got it to work tho never saved the ini file. :? but anyway 1 more question whenever i type in any command i get kicked out of eq and it comes up saying EQ has caused an illegal operation. what is that about.

Are you using that
IRC-20030111.zip off of http://macroquest2.com/IRC/
? Because it won't work. The code is outdated and the offsets are outdated. Even if you get it to start it will be useless and might even potentially get you banned.

oooooooo.... so can i compile it using linux throw it to a cd and then use it in windows or do i have to find that microsoft editor program whatever its called.

Well, I'm no expert on linux and the mechanics of copiling/linking, but since it uses the Detours libary from M$ and needs to make a Windows executable I don't think it would generate anything useful under Linux.

As far as compiler I believe you need VC6, VC.net (VC7) or VS 2003

My god... search the forums and read for gosh sakes. You will find a dozen threads explaining that you need VC6 or VC7 to compile the project that you will be pulling down from the CVS.
