Post by Gatekeeper » Fri Apr 18, 2008 5:00 pm

ok i compiled new copy of MQ did everything like normaly would log into game MQ loads fine i start typing in mapfilter options i use i get to mapfilter npc and normaly it shows everything in zone on the map but some reason it is now only showing mobs on the map that are in proximity of me as i move around the zone the mobs start poping on map while mobs in area i left disaper off the map and more pop up as i continue movine through the zone , this has never done this befor is there anything i can do to fix this so that all mobs in zone show up on my maps like it always did befor instead of just showing mobs in proximity to me?

This is a new "feature" of Everquest intended to inspire all the people that use MQ2 to explore their surroundings just a bit more.

Really, this has been on the test server for weeks and there is a giant thread on the eq forums about it. Further more, it was in the patch notes.

Everquest no longer receives full spawn information for the entire zone.

What amused me a bit more than his obliviousness was that everyone was too busy laughing at that to notice he posted in ISXEQ with his MQ question to avoid the requirements on MQ2 help.
