Newb here and have no idea how to install...Help Please!

Hi everyone,

I am completely new to MacroQuest. I'd love to install it, but am having a very hard time in locating a step by stpe procedure on how to do it.

Could someone here possibly walk me through what I need to do to install MacroQuest to run on a WinXP with 512MB Ram?

There's this really funny thing included with the program, it's called a readme....

Short of that..., use the forums. This one you posted in, for example. Or the general one. There's probably been 30 guides posted in the last 10 days.

If that fails, search my posts, I've written at least three. Bah!

Salutations,
Unzip MQ
rename macroquest.ini.dist to macroquest.ini
download the latest offsets
double click 'MacroQuest.exe'
start EQ

so where is this .exe suppost to "appear" at?

The exe is no more. You have to DL the latest sours and compile it.
Look at this post to get a clue on how to do it.
