Help...

Ok, total noob here so flame me if you like, tried to search for help but coldn't find anything, i downloaded MQ-20020905 and put in the newest offsets from the quick links, i tried to follow the install directions but it still crashes as soon as i get past the char. select screen, i then tried to not boot it up until after everquest was loaded and when i typed in any command i crashed, please help, not sure WTF i'm doing wrong, install instructions seem pretty plain and simple, i must be a moron.....on ya i'm on winxp

and compiling means what? meaning what programs or direction should i go to compile it? or is it too complicated for someone like me who's a newbie i this area?

Compiling means no more binary releases.

No worries anyway, SOE is going to break us tonight with the next patch.

ok so there's no guide to compiling or anything? i've always wanted to know how to take sources and compile them, i see them all over the boards, if you know of any guild mind givin me a link?
