I do everything but nothing happens!!
I just downloaded the newst version of MQ and added the newst offsets the the eqgame notpad in the release folder, i then turn on MQ and start up eq and nothing happens /cry what do i do?

you downloaded
you did new offsets (you're sure they're the newest)
you renamed the .dist to .ini
you placed the dll from the no perl directory into the MQ folder if you're using 9x/ME
you know what? I'm tired of typing this. There are tons of other threads out there to answer this question.

still not work
I have tryed all of that, downloaded it, added new offsets...renamed the .ini.dist to .ini and placed the dll from the no perl director into the MQ folder cause im using ME.......so i start MQ and go on to EQ and nothiong happens still! what is the problem?

Well, like always...
-I made sure he had the latest version
-latest offsets
-client override set to 0
--(looking for that crazy client error message is always helpful)
-turned file extentions on (much better when you can see .mac, .txt, .ini,
--that sort of thing. Mostly I did this to make sure he'd put the offsets in
---the right place, and that notepad had not overwritten the .ini as a .txt.)
Still no client error, so...
-place EqLib.dll fron the no-perl folder into the Release folder, overwriting --the old one, and BANG, it workied.
Like I posted above, it was the same fix that had been posted a good 30 times, he just didn't know where to look for it. :)
Anyway, there ya go. :) (same thing you said, I just said it firstest.)

I don't think that's a good idea.
We talked before about "why is the .dist named .dist, why not just .ini?" and we basically concluded that it not being 100% easy is a good way to prevent anyone and their sister from using the program.
Sure, we want people to use it, but we don't want everyone running it. Pack it into an installshield, and you can bet it'll be GONE the patch after you do it.
