Clarity casting...

Post by Daghita » Tue Feb 11, 2003 4:41 pm

Was curious if someone would look into the idea of having one cast clarity on a person that sent a direct tell for it?

Such as Person A /tells exactly, "CLARITY" to Person B.

Macro kicks in and does,

targets person near by that sent tell,
stands up to cast,
casts the specific loaded spell,
waits for it to finish or recasts for fizzles,
once done, sits back down.

Friend hunts in a safe area and I sometimes can't play all that much, so with my chanter I thought it'd be a neat idea if he could come to me for clarity.

Just an idea...I know that afk macroing is a BAD idea. But, was hoping that because of the way the tell is sent, that it wouldn't trigger on any other people asking for clarity. /shrug...

Again, easy enough, you just set up an event based on a chat command (I would suggest NOT using clarity, as who knows how many people may send that tell...) Grab the script I post in the snare/nuke thread below tonight and modify it to only do clarity/haste ect ect, you should be able to figure it out easy enough.

Salutations,
yes, look at the control scripts i think... I can find my script exactly and post it here, but it doesn't cast anything, just reports things like hp...

Sorry insanitywiz, I couldn't find the snare/nuke script that you have posted. Any chance you would post it here?
