Please just explain to me the basic idea of macros, do you just find an exploit, say like making fish cakes and selling them, then make a program that will buy the stuff u need to make fishcakes, make them, then sell them back?

check the readme file... there is a link to it at the MQ homepage, right by the link to the forum here.

Exploit is such a dirty little word  Most of what you'll find here is ways to take some of the tediousness "<--word?" out of the game. The mods/admins/regulars don't like pp macro's posted so you'll be hard pressed to find any of them here. VI's nerf bat is swift and has a long reach  However, if you're looking for a way to get over a hump in tradeskilling; maybe get that skill up a few points in mend, taunt, conjuration, ect; or even gather up some items then the macro depot is the place to find what you need.

Personally, I've used MQ for 3 different activities: Skilling up those silly timed skills (sense heading, sense traps, pick locks, etc), Automating combines for raising tradeskills, and recently, for helping run a second character from a single computer.

There are other benefits of MQ as well, which don't involve scripting at all. Many features are given to you just by having it running, such as the ability to check a spawn in a zone whether or not you're in range (/who npc quillmane), and seeing what level/class a particular mob is. Also helps when trying to find a cleric in a zone, even if all clerics are using roleplay or anon.

Try it out, if you decide it's worth having on your hard drive, then make a donation to the developers :)
