False Alarm : 1-12-02 PATCH

Post by SingleServing » Sun Jan 12, 2003 5:07 pm

Edit: Replaced EQLib.dll with the one in NoPerl directory, my mistake

Don't I get a free one for not posting after the first patch tho? :P

Wonder what caused it to change, guess I did restart PC

It doesn't matter if they changed the packets. They can change the packets all they want and it wouldn't affect MQ one bit. MQ is not a packet sniffer, it does *not* read packets. It reads the values out of memory. So once your EQ client decodes the packets and puts the information into memory, MQ comes in and reads *those* values directly from memory. EQ could come up with an entirely different packet structure tomorrow and it wouldn't affect MQ a single bit so long as the exe wasn't changed.

Theres a slight bug at the moment with EQW I think.

Whenever you camp you to server select, and try and go back in to game, youll get an eqgame.exe error. Every time.

Its happening to me on all three machines here. No real big deal, you just need to hit desktop, reopen and go back in. Works great for me.

that's actually a bug with EQ itself... read the news at eqw's website
