Bug when macroing on a horse

Post by GoingLD » Sat Oct 05, 2002 5:33 pm

Hello there,

I just want to let you know that I found a little bug in MacroQuest.

I have a little macro that imbues Emeralds.
I recently bought a horse so I thought that I can sit on the horse for "always meditating" and do that macro, but this macro that works very well normaly crashes always when I start it sitting on my horse.

As a side note, I have surely deleted all /sits and /stands from the macro before starting it on the horse, but it crashed at very simple comands such as /echo and /if

I think there is a think in MQ or EQ that does not work with horses.

Neither Plaz or I own a horse. Until either one of us has one it will be difficult to TS this issue.

Horse bug

Post by eqaddict » Sat Jan 04, 2003 6:20 pm

Ok, just tested it and its obviously not working yet. The horse is a very useful mana platform for me so if buying someone a horse will ensure it gets looked at then I will. Please leave message here or PM me with details. I can dontate pp or $$ since I am sure $$->pp is pretty trivial process.

It has nothing to do with sitting.

If you are ever calling a feature variable about yourself while on a horse, it will crash.

This might be because sitting on a horse changes variables that are otherwise, innately set from character creation.

Happens when you do a $mana, too. pretty much any variable about your character.

What I do is I have my cleric dismount, then report mana, then remount.

sounds like the same bug when you try doing something after summoning an "Eye of Yourself"...

I'll fix it right after I fix the patch ;)

If it helps any, a horse is at the normal Char eq offset after summoned. It replaces your toon's here.

You toon's character is then moved back to the end of the character list, which I get to by looping though pChar->pNext.

Also when using /face you have to update the mount's char angle not the char's.

Hrm MQ used to work fine for me on a horse..
being a druid with lots of buffs at 60 something...

No guarentee's though and I cant go check it heh =/

Thats probably why MQ would face arbitrary or backwards directions a lot too at times......
