userfriendly

mq2melee does appear to be quite powerful, but rh was more user friendly.
The amount of customization done right at the ini file is stunning.

A few keystrokes and saved settings.

Another tip: You can write protect your ini file and type /macro rh whenever you zone. It might save a few keystrokes. (This will also lock in the settings just the way you like them.) As a newb to the macro, I spent a while being stuped about why backstab wasn't working for me after I leveled my ro...

tip

A tip for anyone new to the bot. If you have your leash set too short, you'll get issues with your ROG not assisting well. Give him a little space and he'll serve you well. Also note that the ini file entries get written to continually, so don't expect that if you have autoassist set to TRUE, that i...

thermal paste

The idea that I was trying to point out was that there's good utilities that are too powerful to be available at low (public) levels of access. However, they could be nerfed to prevent abuse, and then safely released at those lower levels. The second idea was that something like that might be an app...

Nerfed EQ Utilities

Some of the things which have been developed are so easily abused that they need to be carefully protected. Warping is a pristine example. It has good uses, but lameasses abuse power. A lameass could never be trusted with powertools, but a plastic playset might not be as risky. Nerfed utilities. eg....

gate and /rewind

My problem was that I bound myself at a decent looking spot, but when I gated, found my bind point to be under the world. After gating, /rewind wouldn't do me much good. I put up a petition for about 90 minutes before I started scouring the boards and net for deliverance. It's true that megawarp is ...

warp hack

Hacks are good. Right now, I'm stuck under the world in an OOW zone (which happens a lot because SOE messed something up again - Imagine that.) I was searching for the warp command and came across this post. Anyway, this is a classic example of why hacks are good. Right now, I'm losing time because ...

manual

Occasionally, the MacroQuest2 developers also update current features or add new features to MacroQuest2. Download the latest zip file and recompile when this occurs. Link to MacroQuest2 forums: Forums. Link to the current latest zip: MQ2-Latest.zip. I noticed two links in the manual that may to be...

piracy

Piracy is a really circumstantial thing. When a company makes something rediculously expensive due to blatant corporate greed (see microsoft) I don't have sympathy or a conscience when their stuff gets pirated. However, when I see a developer or small company bust out something like winzip, paintsho...

I think so

If a UI plugged into Macroquest can put a manabar on a HUD, then I think MQ must be able to monitor changes in mana. One would simply have to develop a script that watched the pulses. Or keep it simple and get the timing manually - Write an application that displays a graphic every sex seconds and s...

flamed

I went to the microsoft knowledge base, msdn.com, and search engines to spent six+ hours seeking answers to questions I knew could be answered here in minutes. After a few days of fruitless search, I posted here. I do get my own answers. I might even be more self reliant than yourself, just less kno...

Awesome

I don't think I could have gotten a more concise answer to the software package question. Thankyou!

Awesome support on the boards too. I'll make my donation now.

Thanks

Thanks for the link. 1. If you are offended now, you should leave. 2. We're not human. Yes, I could leave if I'm offended, but I have a higher purpose than that and I never take the easy way out or fall short of my goals. 1. I will succeed in compiling/using MQ2 as well as understanding the programs...

Figuring it out

I may not know know the advanced stuff, but I don't need to. It isn't required here. I'm sure many people are running MQ2 that have never written a line of code in their lives. That means they've written less code than I have. I've written BASIC programs on 8088s under the green glow of monochrome m...
