Other Options?

Are there any options available to tradeskillers for 3rd party software that will allow us to do tradeskill type stuff (ie, /click on Macroquest) with the new UI?

I will admit I am severly disappointed with Macroquest in that releases are continually coming out, but without support for the /click command in the new UI. My feeling is that there is a desire by the MQ developers to nerf 'making plat' with MQ, and that's great; however, there are MANY ways of doing that without taking out /click which benefits tradeskillers.

Please -- if /click is never going to be added back to MQ for the new UI -- PLEASE ANNOUNCE THAT. That way I can move on to other things rather than watching these boards with anticipation every day.

Thanks

I disagree I love the curent updates and the fact that It is being worked on as a hobby. Dont bitch if you dont get exactly what you want (This is not Burger King). It is there hobby to code it and the code is even given to you to do with as you please. So either rewrite the code to your pleasure Or find a programmer who can do it for you. Last but not least im sure if you made a huge and I do mean huge contribution through paypal you may persuade the author to do it for you. Otherwise smile and be glad you have been given what is there so far.

Yah...Amadeus's attitude towards this whole thing kinda pisses me off..here he is bitchin that he doesnt have what he wants..yet WHAT has he contributed?? Has he even made a public macro? or has he been leeching off everyone else for his own gain?

If you are going to throw your weight around, contribute to the project a little with funds or your own ideas...dont tell them what to do and when to do it...thats just plain sick and pisses me off.

Just be happy Plaz and the gang has even let any of us use it, let alone help us along with it.

If you dont like that click doesnt work..use the old UI..it still works there.

I think what Amadeus really meant in a round about way is....

Thanks guys for all the hard work that you put in voluntarily, I'll send you a donation to help out. Thanks for the teamwork that goes on here with the manual/docs so that I can learn to roll my own codes  I don't care if you ever get /click to work in the new UI because it's so much laggier and flakey and probably would cause a big hit to my macros efficiency anyways so nuts to that. I really love MQ and wish I could just hug you all. I am extremely happy that you continue to update Macroquest with releases that fix bugs and add nifty new little bits I can use in my macros. I am not paranoid about you trying to gimp MQ and tradeskillers.

Please -- Don't worry or waste your time making click work in the new UI unless you've just got oodles of time to waste, there are other more useful things you could be doing. I love watching and reading these boards everyday and appreciate all the work you do!!!

*** sorry if I'm being troll-ish but there are several posts that already state - Please stop asking about when /click will work in the new UI, it will work when it works it will be announced.-

You guys are hysterical. I never stated anywhere in my post that I 'expected' anything. I'm simply disappointed in the direction that the project has taken, and I would like some clarification. No -- I do not work on MQ; however, I have spent hundreds of hours in the past working on public open source projects, and the joy comes from knowing people appreciate it. This particular project requires assembly knowledge, and that's simply not something with which I am familiar.

And everyone goes on about how Xylocbot costs money. It's $20 -- big fucking deal. $20 doesn't even fill up a car's gas tank anymore...it's a drop in the bucket for a program that you can use for the rest of your life.
I'd pay $20 in a heartbeat for a paid version of Macroquest that was developed as a professional product. I think Plaz should look into it.

Finally, I don't release macros because I don't trust any of you. Creating macros with MQ is about as easy as anything I can imagine; however, too many people on these forums use MQ as a way to make money ..which is STUPID. Create a forum where you have to prove yourself as being 'smart' about using macros (ie, not abusive), put a password on it, and I'll start posting macros.

Salutations,
tell you what... $20 is cheap and can barely fill a gas tank, so donate 10 gas -tanks worth of money to the project with the note 'Please make NewUI work... with /mouseto' and then I think that perhaps that will become a fairly high priority, and vualla, you have your wishy thingy...
