Respect

I have a great deal of respect for the developers of EverQuest2 at this point. If they can keep up the communication with the community as they are during Beta, I might consider not hacking it. :)

So without degrading this wonderful conversation to "Management made the decision to release! Omg it's not the devs! They's wonderfuls!" that existed in EQ1.... when can we expect EQ2 hacks?

EQ2 is a steaming pile of poo that deserves any hacks.... sorry, just my opinion!

EQ2 really is a good game. I've been having a blast the past month playing it.

I agree with the Devs, I enjoy the many threads they seem to make asking for player feed-back. Latest one I remember was, "What were your first questions when you hoped into the world of Everquest2?"

I can remember it cearly.. "Where the hell is X NPC???"

Yeah theres sorta no need (in my opinion) for any hacks atm. Though until recently the map has been pretty useless. They just added a fog of war type map and added some non city zones today so I'll reserve judgement on that.

I can imagine in a few months I might think about botting a second account though so something like MQ2 would be perfect for that so I bot enabling EQ2 would be good enough at some point.

EQ2 is a well-designed game. About the culmination of technologies and user experience I would expect from a game of this generation of MMORPG. Too bad it didn't captivate me. Too bad the interface was more troublesome to me than helpful.
Nice looking game. Have fun hacking it.
Now where's that damn cat?

No, seriously... This game has a whole lot of cool stuff, such as the gryphon rides... whoa...

I thought WoW was the one with the gryphon riding?

I don't know who came up with the ideas, or it's just the same person hiding behind 2 companies or what lol. Both collectords editions have the pet things, and bunch of other crap similar....

Only thing is WoW looks like a crappy disney cartoon IMO, so, you know which one I will be playing.

Not that I plan to be playing EQ2 but I have already seen E-bay auctions for Macro program for EQ2. Not that surprising but rather fast.

I don't think the stuff being auctioned is anywhere as great to use as MQ2 *hint, hint*

Haven't messed too much with it but on the reading memory side of things EQ2 doesn't seem to even make an attempt at protection. I wouldn't be too surprised if basic key / mouse faking would work on it for making simplistic macro proggies.

well its not that hard macroing eq2 with other macro programs, but you are very limited in what you can macro... already automized all the boring stuff...

I just find it that people want to macro so badly so soon. The game has barely been out that long. I mean I can't speak for everyone and how far they are in the game, but there's a difference between wanting a macro program for the game and needing it. For those who think they need it, I think should just stop playing, forever.
