Newb Question

Post by TheColonel » Thu Oct 10, 2002 6:39 pm

Well... it's been a long time since I've played with offsets... the last time was back in the day when NESticle first came out... long time ago. :D But so anyways... From what I gather all that MQ does is gather data and display it, much like the other not-to-be-named soure-forge project. But the /face /target and the sort of thing that modify the client... those seem like they'd be a staring point, for perhaps more. I guess what I'm saying is how much potential does modifying the clients memory have? How far could you go? And what would the reperucssions be?

Items and cash removed, and, or accounts banned.

Modifying memory = bad, client or server side.

Doing so is basically just asking to be banned, obviously server side stuff is a lot easier to catch, and client side you can't do too much anymore, since all of the data is stored on the server.
