MQ2Map not showing some spawns

I've had this happen a few times and not just recently, so this is not a new bug in MQ2map to go along with the other problems it's having but rather something that's been happening for a while I believe...
In certain zones, some mobs just plain won't display on the map even though they're there. I've noticed this on occassion with the golems (Fright, Dread, Terror) in Fear as well as certain mobs in Kael. Wish I could recall more specifically which other mobs it happens with, but I've noticed it numerous times with the golems in Fear. Everything else in the zone shows, including CT but the golems appear to not be there on the map even though they are there in the zone and do show up on normal tracking. Doing a /who npc golemname also turns up nothing when they're not appearing on the map. Anyone else experienced this?

They know, all you had to do is scroll down and see the 4 other threads on the map plugin. It's broken, and they will get around to fixing it when they can. You can only hope amadeus doesn't respond to this~

I read most of the map bug threads here and found them mostly having to do with new map bugs, as I stated, this one is an old one that I've experienced long before recent patches. I happened to miss the one thread because it seemed to be specifically about /mapshow and for that oversight I apologize. Feel free to get rid of this thread.

You are correct, escapegoat - this is an old bug. It is also, however, related to what Crazybard found and therefore will get fixed whenever the fuck they feel like it.
Please, damnit. The map is one of my favorite functions - if we keep getting more "Blah Blah Blah My map won't work and my pussy hurts" threads I have a feeling Arma will `can it` altogether.
STFU please and wait for the fix to the recent problems. If it happens afterwards, then bitch and moan. When you do, btw - do it from VIP. Anything else and you're a freeloader.

The point of the matter is that there are three kinds of people:
1. Those that can fix it and don't have time to fix it now.
2. Those that can fix it and don't want to take time to fix it now.
3. Those that cannot fix it.
And, frankly, the way I see it, neither of these three types has any room to complain. If you're a coder and want to post a fix, I'll be more than happy to go through it and impliment it if it is indeed a good fix. Otherwise, we have to wait on those that fall into category 1.
It's a busy time, we just got a new expansion and everyone here (including devs) are working on getting their lvl 70 and AAs. Moreover, there is more content, EQ2 is out in beta and people are exploring that, WoW is out ..blahblahblah ....and school is in session (and that's where my profession lies).
The point is that it's a time issue ....complain all you want, but unless there is someone out there that wants to fix it and post a fix, you're going to have to wait on one of us devs to have the time and inclination to fix it.
While you're waiting there are several other programs out there for getting a map with spawns if you don't like what MQ has right now. I use SEQ and have never even turned on MQ2Map. /shrug. Life goes on ..hell, EQ didn't even have an in-game map for years!...and god knows the game isn't any harder today than it was 2 years ago.
ALL THAT BEING SAID, next big patch by SOE I'll be putting in a couple new things in our zip that have been submitted related to MQ2Map that might make things run a bit better. I will also remove some of the new checks that were put in for debugging that might make it run better as well.

Wait, this is a whole new thing: spawnless mobs.
Which mobs in Kael Drakkal show this behavior?

Hmm...I guess I read over the posting too quick. What mobs in Fear again too? I've been to Fear before and thought for sure that Fright, Dread, etc.. were on my /who npc list.
It would be very strange for mobs to exist and not be on the /who npc list .... THAT worries me a lot more than any map stuff ..lol

in kael, there's a label right where tormax spawns that says King Tormax, and it's targetable, but it's not the real tormax.

That's always been there. It's in ShowEQ too ....you'll notice it's like level 50 though. That's the giveaway! ..lol

That's a ph / timer for him. Even when he's up, it's up also everytime i've seen. If KT is up aswell, it's hard to see him on the map cause it's over him. He will show up on /who though. Aswell as being able to target him.
I haven't seen any mobs in kael that haven't shown on my map or on /who. It was a full spawn yesterday (statue, vindi, kt) and I know i've seen idol and aow.
As far as pofear goes, I was there yesterday aswell, but golems weren't up (I ran up to check myself instead of relying on map or /who. Neither was CT, so I can't speak on that.

PoFear: All 3 golems, the Berserker Imp, and CT himself all show on /who npc
...And I finally got my slime blood - fuck you idiots that were wanting 500k for it.
I feel better now.

Some of the new Epic mobs are un-trackable via normal track. They physically just don't show up on the list.

Which epic mobs are untrackable via normal track? I know for a fact several of them show up fine via /who npc as of last night, but I didn't check normal tracking.

I've had this problem too with not showing some named spawns in WoS.
It shows the raid encounter guys but during a 6 hour group I didn't see any of the 1 groupable named we kill on the map or in /who npc (insert name here).

I've yet to see this behavior, and I get around a lot. Are you sure you don't have some old DLLs laying around compiled vs outdated structs or something?
