After using MQ2 perfectly for 2 weeks it has started to make me drop to server seletion screen. I do not go LD or "crash" I just pop to server selection. It *seems* to occur when EQ does a hard save but I am not 100% sure on that. Firewall problem maybe? Any assistance would be appreciated even a link to some information would be good. I searched these forums a while but could not find any similar reference. Thanks.

This is something EQ has been doing lately, whether or not you have been using MQ2.

It ONLY does it with MQ running for me.

Then you're lucky, I've had it do it no matter what I do.

Dunno if I'm lucky or what. Never had anything that has ever put me to server select besides going LD in the past. Only kinda of crashes I've ever had were from zoning (caused by EQ) or bad compiled plugins. I don't run any virus scanner or firewall while playing EQ, and try to limit and background processes. The only thing I have is a wireless router, which has it's firewall turned off while I play EQ. Just thought I would input to maybe help with trouble shooting.

Well I remember one user here had this big ongoing problem and forgot to check for viruses, and ended up having like 5 major trojans... so...you do a lot of downloading or have a low quality virus protection?

another thing, if you run EQplayNice along side with this, then what you should do is load up MQ2 BEFORE you load up eqpn (or wineq if you integrated them....) this should cause the eqpn to run in a different mode. (this is all pending you do infact run eqpn/wineq ... its all here in the second item under the faq at lavish http://www.lavishsoft.com/?p=faq since i think lax incorporated some of the stuff that is in eqpn..

Thanks it was EQPN. But starting MQ2 before EQPN didn't help. But not using it all helped. Thanks klepto.

For EQPlayNice integration in WinEQ, make sure it's set to ALL EQ Sessions, having it set to WinEQ sessions only will cause this to happen.
