Ok, here are steps I followed:

1) Read these forums and manual
2) Searched on some of the stuff that still wasn't clear
3) Downloaded latest zip file
4) followed instructions and compiled stuff for two computers (MQ2Auth.exe on both first of course)
5) Started Macroquest2
6) Started EQ

ok, here's the issue, everything worked perfectly!!

Good to know someone managed it, on the first try, and was happy enough to post about their success via proper use of the readme.chm and other wonderful bits and pieces availible here.

I got mine on the first try using Warden's kick ass walkthrough for VS .NET. I've since gotten my hands on a copy of VS6, but it's easy enough making the transition when you RTFM.

I got it on the first try now I just need to figure what I want to do... There is almost to much information to take in with plugins CFG's and macros oh my...

Think I will start with getting a cleric bot working since that is what I am wanting it for. Just stupid toon to follow me around and heal and buff me as I kill stuff.

AFKCleric.mac does exist, it's in the Macro Depot.
You'll also want the Spell_routines.inc and the other one, both in Snippets, just below Macro Depot.
I'd suggest getting the MQ2MoveUtils set up and loaded, it's very handy.

Thanks still working out how to get the hud working and how to make plugins work I get them loaded but thats all I get done. Back to reading lol.


On a sort of different subject i did read one thread where a guy was talking about making a swarm of people all automated which is AI basically that part seems really cool.

I might have to try that with a group of 6 start off small like a dungeon crawl through Befallen with some level 20's, be pretty neat if I could pull it off. Maybe script each dungeon over time lol..

I got enough computers to pull it off just not the accounts but for 9.99 I can get the TRILOGY lol.
