Well I've been following the insturctions...and I'm on Windows XP. I got the Visual Studio compiler and I have the files that I e-mailed to myself unzipped in a directory on my desktop....

When I double click on the .sln file it says it doesn't know what program to open it with .... Ok I say to myself I'll just go into Visual Studio directly and open the file (It seems to be some kind of project file to build the various components) but as I browse through the various files I can't see/find the directory where the .sln is. It is like it is only looking in certain "registered" directoris for files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, to get to the desktop folder the quick way, you have to go all the way to the top level (where your drives are) in the open file dialog. It should be at the very top.

Otherwise, the desktop folder is located in C:\Documents and Settings\(your username here)\Desktop.

Now, I don't mean to be rude or anything (although this certainly is), but if you can't find folders on your hard drive (there's even a search tool, so you can find the full path to the folder that way as well) you shouldn't even be thinking about using MQ. Betting you saw this on rpgexpert. /sigh

Try using the .dsw extension file instead.
