Okay, I've been tired of Everquest for .... Ooh about, a year or so... But I continued to play, not really PLAY play, but making money play... First I bought/sell, that was fun while it lasted, til newbies caught on and started to do the same *But at EXTREMELY low prices, atleast twice as low as me.*, so I quit that, found an old old macro program on my HD, search up macro and stumbled over this site, I started it up, wrote a script for it... Wow this looks like fun, okay so I look thru other macros and found the cheese.mac. I did it for a few weeks, made 5k, until more people started to use granger.... Found a fletching one, used it more, til people found out about him *See "People use some common sense" post.*, that was the last straw... Newbies are overunning MacroQuest, like they over ran buying/selling *Mostly because of /bazaar*.

I am quitting EverQuest, why? Because its boring to play normally, and newbies overrun ANY form of money-making out there...Someone I know, happend to stumble across the skull ale guy/girl, he won't tell me, but he plans to tell everyone in a month about it...... Starting privately, but its probably going to leak out, for all the newbies and leechers to grab with their grubby little fingers.

So i bid you all farewell, I am going to Asheron's Call (again), SWG, or Earth & Beyond.

Note: Use your macros while you still can! There are some newbies out there who /petitioned out half of the macro merchants out there, one of them even told ME that I'm going to get banned for not helping him.

Edit: Anyone have suggestions of a GOOD online game to play? It gets pretty boring having to buy tons of comps in AC, SWG is still in private beta, and E&B ... well... I haven't tried that yet.

Don't sell/give away or otherwise ruin your characters, because you'll probably be back for more EQ, as this game attracts gamers like a black hole. :)

There's a TON of MMORPGs coming out, it's the latest gaming bandwagon cash cow, so there is sure to be plenty of stuff to play. The only question is will they suck or not? So far all of EQ's competitors suck, at least IMO.

At the risk of sounding like a verant fanboi, I'm really interested in EQ2. /drool

Aaaaakkkkkiiiiiiirrrraaaaa....

I sort of agree with you. I don't even really enjoy EQ that much anymore. I just like coding.

I have a big stable of toons -- a 55 monk, a 60 shaman, a 60 chanter, a 56 mage, etc. etc... And I just don't get much out of them anymore.

I'm seriously considering ebaying them all off for some real life cash, keeping a lowby account, and just EQ'ing for the fun of programming.
