Compatability with WinEQ?

Post by cgi-bin » Sat Jul 10, 2004 4:02 pm

Hello,
Since I see Lax works on both projects I was wondering if there are any plans to get both MQ and WinEQ to work at the same time? Or if they are already supoosed to do so, is there any documentation of any special steps needed?

I've tried a few times, and everything seems fine for a few minutes, but I typically get booted to char select or CTD, after 5 min or so in-game. I really like the features of WinEQ, so its frustrating that it doesn't seem to play nice (pun inteneded) :)

Works fine for me. I run 3-4 characters at a time.

The only issue you might have w/ WinEQ and MQ2 is if you have set up WinEQ to inject EQPlayNice in to the sessions. This is an issue because the MQ2FPS plugin is very similar to the EQPNP routines (since Lax wrote both)

Thanks, that was the problem.
