On my server, in HoH, there is a female bard that is quite clearly macroing. All I want to say to her/him, it is becoming very dangerous for you to continue so. When people see a char that is chant circling the same spot for 6+ straight hours, without any interruption, they begin to ask what is going on, and maybe someone can also decide to petition a guide.
What you are doing seems to me a good way to be banned.
Of course you can do what you want, I just thing is right to warn you about the risks you are running.

I think you should give a server name and character name. First, they're still anonymous here. Secondly, this shit hurts the entire community and they deserve to be 'outed'.

If you're caught afk macroing actively like this, either by a GM or a fellow player that outs you here, I have no sympathy for you.

Here on Sullon, people openly use hacks and don't get caught. Kind of strange to see <sk1> and <sk2> (2 warp hacking SK's that use the DT refresh bug) trash talking ppl that ate one of their 8 DT's they have between the two of them every hour. I certainly hope that whatever server you are on, your GM actually cares about more or as much as his other server.

A bard friend of mine always mentions someone who is in HoH kiting every night non stop... I didn't get the impression that the bard was female though - I never looked. I'm going to get him/her killed one of these nights if I get bored.

is this bard afk? i know i for one macro HoH on my bard but im never afk, although i sit in NE for like 4+ hours at a time watching movies and reading ooc heh... if this bard is afk, train the bitch and see if the person was smart enough to write in auto fade

I am trying to give him/her a last chance.
He/she is right on the way to reach Hero and L1/2 camp, so everybodies that go there see him/her camping that spot for hours. Often running people will also agro the mobs without any reaction from the bard that only continue to run his/her circle there. And of course he/she do not answers to tells.
This is a very stupid thing to do. BTW he/she is on <servername>.
If she/he will not stop this shit I will also post her name here for all to see.

There is a bard like this on <server> too, but she doesn't do it anymore from what I can tell. Guess she got enough AAs :)

People using MQ2 to enhance the gameplay by using MQ features and small scripts etc are completely ok in my eyes.

People using MQ2 to _remove_ the gameplay completely by running afk macros getting them xp and stuff while not there should be banned. Or leave the game freely and start something they do like, since they obviously dont enjoy EQ.

Some moron started a thread on the Xylobot Boards extoling the virtues MQ and flaming Xylobot. His next post bitched about Xylobt being lame because his stupid ass went and ran a very blatant macro of some kind and he was caught, due to Xylobot not having a GM check like MQ.

Thing is, other than a GM cloaked, you can run routines to /who all GM in those scripts if you take the time to add them. So really he can only blame himself.

I'm all for game enhancements that make life a bit easier. I am not for Pharming/AFK macros. I'm glad he got caught.

Now there is a question I've been thinking about...
Does MQ see Cloaked GMs in zone?

Nothing sees hidden gm's.

So in otherwords, the idiot would likely have been caught either way, because before a GM would flag him he'd have watched long enough to be sure it was a bot.
