I know the GMs can grab the text on the users chat box, but is the MQ window somehow excluded? Can the GMs not see whats in the MQ box / echoes and everything?

You joined this forum less than 24 hours ago and you have 4 posts already?
PLEASE tell me you are trying the search feature first.

The MQ2 window was made just for the purpose of keeping all MQ2 feedback entirely client side (just you).

lax told me that you can use either the MQ window or the chat window and it all stays client side if it is for MQ.

Please correct me if I am wrong lax.

Well, kinda, but /report could accidentally show anything in your main chat window, and I have been told that a GM can pull text out of your main chat window also.

Does it actually get logged on their servers? No, but that doesn't mean it isn't accessible by them either.

you are wrong robdawg ;)

if you use MQ2Chat plugin, its 100% the same as an EQ chat window. Shows up in your eq log, shows up in report, etc.

if you use MQ2ChatWnd, it is strictly local to your client. It's not handled by the chat manager, so the text will not show up in /report, or if a GM has any other method to grab your chat text..

Out of curiousity, I wonder if GMs have the ability to take screenshots of your client remotely?

IE; trigger a screenshot - but have it saved to the server, instead of the client computer.

No, they don't.
And you'd notice a severe packet loss if they tried to cram a 5 meg bmp down your line :)

I hate this thread.

I will flame ...in ways that will redefine the concept of 'flame' ....anyone else from this day forward that asks any questions about MQ and GMs, or MQ and getting 'banned' or 'caught'. Moreover, I will flame anyone that comes and whines about having BEEN banned or caught for using MQ.

Last warning on this guys ...I'm to my wits end explaining this over and fucking over agan. I'm going to rip someone a new one next time.
