Writting Macros

Guys, make fun of me, tell me the rtfm, tell me i'm an idiot who should use search... but god, I have tried everything, I have asked around, I have searched, I have used google, I have used the manual, I have used everything.... i can't feking figure it out, what in god's name do you use to WRITE the actual macros... I've been using a piece of paper to formulate ideas, but no way to actually turn them into .mac files... any help would be appreciated, unless you want to tell me to search or read the manual, i've done it for over 2 weeks now and I can't figure out anything else than to post this message, sorry if it's troublesome to some of you higher-beings with nothing to do but bash us for trying

I'm not going to flame you and such, but I am going to give you a bit of advice. This program is not for everyone. You might have better luck figuring out an easier program like xylobot or some other macro program I've forgotten the name to.

I use
This, the macro is a text file, just open it by sending it to notepad of textpad above.
All i do is make a new text file called macroname.mac then double click with explorer, if it opens in notepad great if not choose notepad or textpad and tell it to use it all the time in future, paste you macro code from these forums into it then save it making sure it is only called macroname.MAC then save it into your release/macro folder.

Thank you for everyone that helped, i know it was a stupid question, but I couldn't figure out any other way but to ask it. I feel like a retard now for not knowing it, but hey... I probably am =p ty guys very much

It added an option to my right click menu under "New" for "MacroQuest Macro." Just use that, and it inserts the starting code for you, type in the rest yourself.
I'm struggling with essentially the same problems you are. As nice as the manual / forums are, some things are just assumed that you know them, and when you don't it's annoying as heck.
