How to get a custom macro built using the Macro Depot...

Step 1) Open the folder you extracted the zip to.
Step 2) Double Click the file called "readme.chm"
Step 3) Read through each and every section.
Step 4) Write out using paper what you want to do to the macro, not necissarily how..
Example:
Step 5) Read through the macro you want to customize and get a general understanding of where you would need to place things to follow with the flow of what you wanted to do.
Step 6) Using the knowledge you gained from step 3, and using that file as a reference, begin to write out a very basic form of how you want to do what you want to do.
Example:
Step 7) Experiement with different ways to improve on it.
Example:
Step 8.a) If things work great, then congrats! You cusotmized your macro to your specific class! Stop here.
Step 8.b) If things didn't, copy the sub and possibly the whole macro (if it fits) and start a post in the forum entitiled "Macro Help" and type out what you are having it not do right, or you want to do better, and then hit the button labeled Code, and then paste, yhen hit code again Then hit the button labeled Submit.
Step 9) Check back regularly for a response, there's almost always someone helping out, and if you were nice about it (you do realize you were asking for help at this point I hope) someone will reply with how to correct the customization.
Step 10) Apply said changes and see if they work. If they do, thank the person in the forum. Go to step 8.a or Step 7, the option is yours.
Step 11) Things still didn't work. Copy the NEW sub or whole macro, go to the post in the Macro Help forum and click on the button marked Edit at the top of your post. Add a line with the new date under your original message with what has changed. The part between the code labels, delete that, and paste in the new stuff. Now save.
Step 12) Reply now to your post with what has happened or hasn't happened and what needs done, and how you tried to do it.
Step 13) Return to step 9.
After reading through the various "this doesn't work quite right for my class" or "can you add this for my class" replies to just about any general macro released, i felt obligated to write this. Reading back over it, I think I see a macro coming up for the Depot, using echos and delays...
