I know Money making afk macros are illegal, however how bout a AFK EXP macro.. ? one that auto pulls a mob, kills it, loots it, then pulls another.. ???

I am sure probally depends on what you are asking. If you are requesting someone to make one or help get the bugs out. Then I would say that it is probally going to be against the rules. On the other had if you have an AFK macro done and you want to post it in the Macro Depot then that might be allowed. I know that there are some old AFK macs in the old macro depot forums, they just don't have the params updated to MQ2.

But then why would one listen to me when this is just my 4th post.

Alright, the beastlord one was the last major one I can recall having seen. You zone into FG the next day, and what did I see? 6 beastlords, none of them responding to tells. See the problem?

AFK macro on my server. If I find you, you will die. Fairly simple. I admit I kill afk'ers. Why? THEY ARE SO OBVIOUS. Suggestion: DON'T BE OBVIOUS. Then I won't kill you.

USING MACROQUEST IS AGAINST THE RULES!

AFK Macro, meet all the other macro's that are agaisnt the rules too

You could have MacroQuest, just to spam center printed on your screen "Hello World". You still have MacroQuest installed, and running it with EverQuest.

I just hate afk macros being posted, use em all you want, fuck posting em.

Many "hacking" tools, like Ethereal, Net Stumbler, L0phtCrack, SolarWinds, etc can be extremely useful to sysadmins and "hackers" alike.

Similarly, many of the macros posted here can be used either way. All it takes is minor modification.

RTM, look at others' code, find one similar to what you need, and learn. Theres lots of macros out there that do or can be easily modified to do what you want. Maybe I am a "bad" person for letting a macro that took me time to develop level my lowbie cleric for me instead of kill, chase next mob, kill, heal, chase next mob, kill, buff, go to next mob, ad infinitum. But I also don't want others using the same macro as me, in the same zones as me. MacroQuest can get you banned, so the fewer people in the zone I am running a macro in, the better for me.

It's not *too* difficult to find macros out there and modify. Hell, half the fun I get out of EQ nowadays is writing my macro and watching it work... knowing that my character is killing critters for me while I shit, etc.

Also, it's hard to develop a sound AFK macro. I simply read, use the other computer, etc while my near-perfect macro does its magic, and am able to respond when someone sends a tell .

First off.. I was not asking for help to build one.. I was asking if it was ileagal so i f it was i wasn't going to post it.. I ask questions for macros that i am building and really dont post them.. i did once and got bashed so i dont anymore.. but the program that lax built is very nice and i love it so i build my own. again thanks for your info..

Personally, I am a un-responsible MQ user, every mac i write has the ability to let me go afk while I use it, the catch is i dont write a macro unless I find something useful where nobody, or hardly anybody goes.
My 1st real impressive mac was the Aerin'Dar cave... underneath Aerin'Dar, I can get back there when he is up or not because I know how to bug eq, and I do mean bug, not blatantly hack like eqwarp or the other kind of shit that is on the F-H boards I mac'd up an entire group made of SK,Cler,Sham,2 mag's and an ench, it took me almost 2 weeks going at it constantly to get it wrritten right then another 2 to de-bug, but when it was done, it was the most godly macro I've ever seen, I would leave it running days ata time and I would come back to 8-10 more AA's.

So, personally, the only macro's I write are AFK capable, I just make sure an do it where there is no one watching, and the rewards are beyond amazing... and all this we owe to the MQ Dev's for making our lives so easy!:D

That, sir, would make me get bored of EQ 'real' fast.

What I say is simply this. Go ahead and AFK macro, I watch for little things when I'm bored, like you and your cronies AFKing for XP. I hate it. It throws the economy further out of whack and its totaly pointless. to prove that, I got 3 characters to 65 in under a week and a half of normal play time, 2 hours a night every night.

So I say, go ahead and afk macro, I run macroquest to help my gaming experience and I'll be able to find you no problem. I've already gotten about 12 macroers banned. Getting a few more won't hurt. The less people actively knowing about this the better.

Man Guardian.. You suck in my opinion.. But to each his own.. If you find me online .. Then by all means get me banned.. however if i ran this program i would make sure that you were banned from here. because in my opinion you are against the very thing that makes this program great. being able to do things that you would not normaly do ..
