Custom Filtering?

I know its possible to filter (using the MacroQuest.ini file) some events like the melee out of range, the hungry/thirsty messages and a few others... but is there a way to filter custom lines?

I am at the point in my EQ life where I have a few items that "help" my casting and they all spam me when I cast. At this point, I think its only 2 items... but I like to see OTHER people casting AND I use my own "you begin casting" messages to trigger my cast text macro... so I can't just turn it off.

Below are examples of the text I would like to cull :)

Code: Select all

[Sun May 16 22:41:22 2004] Your Hooded Sanguine Mantle shimmers briefly.
[Sun May 16 22:36:25 2004] Your Vambraces of Vengeful Fury feeds you with power.
[Sun May 16 22:33:10 2004] Your Gauntlets of Vengeful Fury flickers with a pale light.
[Sun May 16 22:40:40 2004] Your Pendant of the Triumphant Victor flickers with a pale light.
If I have missed something, I appologize... I searched a little but am not quite sure what key words to search for :)

I havent used it, but I believe you use MQ's "/filter name".

like this:
"/filter name" - list custom filters
"/filter name on" - enable custom filters
"/filter name off" - disable custom filters
"/filter name add executes a flurry of attacks" - filters out lines containing "executes a flurry of attacks"
"/filter name remove executes a flurry of attacks" - removes filter on flurries
"/filter name remove all" - removes all custom filters

Oddly that worked on the Mantle line, but none of the other 3.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that custom filtering is broken in some way.

- New text filters have been added for Pet Crits, Pet Rampage/Flurry, System Messages, Focus Effects, Exp Messages, and Who list.
-Latest Patch 5-26-2004

That should solve your focus item problem.
