Anyone have a way to make it NPCConColor for even con mobs not-white? I keep on thinking I have 8 mobs targeted until I check for the target ring by their feet (which can sometimes be hard to see due to dx9 problems, and mobs being under the ground, with just their nametags showing.

your target's caption flashes, maybe you're just blind

i have a problem just like this and i have all the new color features set to OFF too
is there any way to completely disable the new caption system? i got all the options set to OFF and all the captions set to blank but still i have problems with it at times where it looks like multiple mobs or even characters are targeted, even if i never targeted them

there was a problem in a previous zip where PC by class colors was on by default, and it was meant to be off.
grab the zip from the 17th and check your /captioncolor settings again?

well, in the time it takes for me to wait for the tag to blink, I could have instead already hit mez. half a second can really help there.
In addition, there's a slight bug where if you are drawing the mob name for the first time and you're just coming into range, it is drawn in the original cyan-blue color, then changes to white immediately, which makes it look like it's blinking.
The caption color is great work and I love it and use it despite the targeting difficulties I'm having, but some sort of way to more easily see which mob is targeted would do wonders for the usability of this for me.

Yeah, the "bug" is that when you first zone in, all mobs get the EQ caption and caption color. Then we prevent EQ from touching it until you are in range! I'll see about fixing that now that I fixed most of the issues with doing so. I chose to keep the original EQ colors for the target, but I'll see if I can come up with something
