"Incorrect client version" - macroquest error

I get this error when i start EQ while MQ is running, and MQ doesnt work....can anyone explain what this means and how to fix it?

If we had a TFM, I swear to god I'd make you go read it...

Incorrect Client Version means that your EQ client doesn't match your build of Macroquest. New build of Macroquest needed for each EQ patch.

If you have an old eqclient, like you would if you play on an eqemu server, you will need to find an old eqgame.h file to have the correct offsets. Consult your server community and see if anybody's got it.

baaaah, now when i run MQ2 it gives me the mq2main.dll problem , tells me to run mqauth....but i have, a zillion times heh.

Read that. Follow it. If it still doesn't work, demonstrate to us that you actually read it.

If you want real help, you need to post some information. Your Visual Studio version, steps you've already tried, exact error message and where you saw it, etc.

TFM is almost done. Had some power problems here the past few days, and that put a kink in my plan to have it done by last Sunday.

Will be done by this weekend for sure.

if you had taken the time to actually read and utilize these forums as many, many people expound upon here, you might have done a search for "incorrect client version" and found many other posts from similarly simple people who did not utilize these forums much in the same way you neglected to.

that speaks volumes right there. you really, really havent read and understood the compilation instructions as well as the many, many clarifications supplied here in the forums.

TFM is currently in drydock for repairs, so it really isn't fair to expect people to read the manual and know to search before they start asking questions.

Of course, once TFM sails again, you're going to get called a fucking retard for not reading it and searching for your answers.
