/click is only important for UI stuff (tradeskilling/farming), stuff 99% of the "interactive" macros wouldn't need.
Until VI announces the Old UI will go away, the New UI is on the back burner, since (as I've said before):
The New UI is for playing, the Old UI is for macroing ;)

Hmmm, I can't say that I agree with that philosophy. However, it's your program :)
Reasons:
1. Tradeskills, macros or not, are MUCH easier when you can open multiple bags.
2. Buying a 3rd computer for EQ seems rather silly. When you have one to run Windows and EQ, and a second to run ShowEQ (which is almost a necessity for enjoying the game imo)...restarting EQ or the computer, or blah blah blah gets to be old.
3. The old UI is ugly, clunky, and buggy. The NewUI runs faster, better, and is more attractive.
...But, like I said, it's your program and your philosophy is the only one that really matters. However, I hope that you will let us know if you never intend to do Macroquest for the newUI.
Also, I get the impression that there is some sort of hidden agenda that by making MQ 'OldUI only' it makes it used by less people and therefore draws less attention. My suggestion would be to fix it, and put in safeguards that (unless you're a coder and can change it), doesn't allow for people to make platinum or otherwise cheat the system in a way that would upset VI. I've made several suggestions of how to do this in the past.
(Edit: I suppose I should point out that my primary use for MQ is for tradeskills, which would explain my being on this bandwagon *laugh*)

I think the best safeguard against massive platinum-making endeavours is already in place; it's pretty much frowned upon. Further, no one is allowed to post such macros here, if I'm not mistaken. You have to be a macro coder to be able to do it, and even if you were you'd still have to know the methods. Not common knowledge.
