The new login on test

is nice and all that... but of course it breaks eqwindows. And unlike when DX9 rolled out, there doesnt seem to be a way to contact the author. Well, more like the ISP name servers for
www.eqwindws.com have gone poof. Anyone actually know the person or have contact with him? Everquest without EQWindows just isnt fun to play.

Surprisingly enough I'm getting good performance in EQ's native windowed mode after the most recent series of patches. A few days ago I was actually getting more FPS in windowed mode than in full screen! Looks like they are finally figuring out how to make it work (and screwing up full screen while doing so).

we've got some pretty good programmers here, I'm sure a windows mode could be thrown together into a plugin or other pretty quickly. I'll learn anything if I can help.

The site was down for a few days. It's back up now. The latest eqw is also in the files section of my site if it goes down again.

Someday I want to be an unemployed computer programmer who can spend all day reverse-engineering MMORPG's for no personal gain other than the right to flame the hell out of everyone who doesn't RTFM and some small amount of infamy among the cheating dork community
(please note.. this post is not sarcastic. Lax really does have the right to flame the hell out of everyone who doesn't RTFM, and if you are reading this, you are a member of the cheating dork community. Cheating because you use MQ.. dork because you play EQ. And I really do want to be the cool guy who reverse-engineers MMORPG's.. not sure if I really want to be unemployed... although it would give me plenty of time to accomplish the other goals. :) )

maybe you could make a plugin for MQ.... since it runs out of EQ...
