Okay, sooo. I am an idiot. Basically, I acquired Visual C++, then mq2. Compiled it properly I think, seems to work fine, or would if in fact I knew what the hell I was doing. Basically, I had written out several long scripts in notepad prior to getting a hold of vs6. Now that I have it, I am not sure how to cut and paste my scripts into vs6 and run them with mq2. I am a huge moron and I know I will get horribly mocked, but I deserve it in this case. If anyone could give me a breakdown of the steps to take to get my scripts onto EQ, I would be extremely grateful.

Search your MQ directory for files with the extension of .MAC. There are a number of macros that actually come with the zip, try and make sure one of those works and then go from there.

Sooo, I opened to Hero.mac file, which visual c++ doesn't recognize until it is saved as a .dsm (script file). Then, when you click the execute button, you get a vbscript error. Any explanations or other help would be awesome

Yeah... you may want to take a look at the manual for the command to load a macro...
Or try reading through some of the macro syntaxes...
Or notice that the .mac files aren't compiled in the first place...

Hell, if I can figure this out well enough to run macros, anyone can!

Question!

Okay, I have the macro loaded in visual c++, how do I execute that file to start running in eq? I click execute and it says file not executable, just wondering if there is something macroquest does outside of vc++ that I don't get because I am a huge newb.

Alejandro,
You are missing what you have been told. You do not run a macro from VS. You run it from in EQ. RTFM = Read the F***** Manual.
I will even give you link to it.
http://macroquest2.com/includes/manual.php
Humm feeling really nice here is the part you need.
/macro filename [Param0 [Param1...]]
Starts running a macro. Calling a macro from another macro will end the calling macro.
Please spend 10-400 mins reading the link above as it will awnser Alot of the questions you have.
