Features:
1. Target window: Class, Distance, Direction, Level
2. Buff window: Buff duration
3. HotButton/main: HP Regen, Current Mana, Mana Regen
4. Horizontal Group: Class, Level
5. Vertical Group: Class, Level

Notes:
1. The class is shortened by just making the visable area smaller. It's easy, but you will get a dif number of letters of the class depending on the letter size. - Now using 3 letter class names thanks to fryfrog and the files I had hosed on my own site /bonk
2. The Level "0" never goes away. Not sure why this is, but I'm not going to bother with it. If you can fix it, please tell me how and I'll make the change. - FIXED also thanks to fryfrog
3. Added HP and Mana regen to the hotbutton window.
4. Group window added with Class and Level. Have the same "0" for lvl that won't go away and can't find the right combo to do it. Let me know if you can fix it.
5. 18 Feb. Buff window done. Took me a few days with the patches at the end of the week. Buff timer in white just below buff name.
6. 22 Feb. Added current mana to the hotbutton window and had to revamp that portion of the window because of it.
7. 22 Feb. Fixed the links... and changed the picture to reflect current status.
8. 22 Feb. Added new file for Vertical Group window. By popular demand. hehe
9. 31 March Seems to still be working with MQ changes. Still need to remove the "0" from group window.. Been busy.
10. 25 April Thanks for the target window and spell cast windows wyz. I fixed the rest (coudn't get twisters changes to DL) Anyway, it's working with the new MQ now. I'll fiz the Vertical group window soon.

Make sure you downloaded the original SARS UI and you unzip my ZIP file in the same directory. Read the SARS readme for other window usage etc.

Looks Good Lane! I definitely plan to use this one.

I am not certain how good it would look wedged in next to the numeric hitpoint value; but if you are still looking for suggestions, I would LOVE to see a numeric value added for mana.

Also, I have not seen the pet window for this UI; but if it is possible, it would be great to see buff timers there as well...if that is doable.

Beyond that, I cannot really think of any other suggestions. Thanks a bunch for this conversion!

I knew I was missing something. I'll add max/current mana to the HP area somehow. I've never done pet buff timers (being a pet class you would think I would have...) so I'll have to do some digging on what the code is for that.

I'm glad you like it, and that 40oz mentioned it. It's a nice clean UI.

I am having a problem with the buff window file though. Whenever i try to use it, it causes the default UI to load instead. I am using all the other files in your zip but buffwindow. I dont know anything about XML so I dont know what to look for.

Another thing too as a suggestion..... Your group window is awesome but I was wondering if you could also find the time to post a vertical window also. If you modified the horizontal one, then it should be fairly easy to modify SARS vertical group window also :)

Anyone else having problems with the buff window though? I dont think it has anything to do with the resolution I use but it could be a possibility?!?

Abrasive: Make sure you have put the original SARS UI in that directory, Try it again. If it crashes, check a file called "UIErrors.txt" and look for a line near the end that has the name of the buff window in it. Once you find that line, post it here. I run the UI in 800-600 on one of my puters, so that shouldn't be it.

By popular demand, I added the vertical group window. It's a new zip file, just download it and unzip in the dir. It should have the proper name insode the zip file.

Updated the sars gems to show mana required to cast a spell and number of times it can be cast.

Broken as of April 19, 2004.

I assume this is a result of the Phase 2 MQ2data conversions. I've attempted to patch it up myself, but I'm only having limited results.

What's broken? I used it last night.

EDIT: NM, you must be using the latest version of MQ. I'm still using the MQ from last patch. I'm out of town this week, and won't be able to work on it till next, so sorry anyone. If you have an older version of MQ, use that if you really need this UI. I'll work on it next week when I have time again.

As of the new MQ2 Update today (April 21) This UI is not showing the right infor for HP and Mana Regen, Distance to/from target, Grouped persons lvl and class and amont of mana you currently have.

Instead of this info it has things like ";if($star", "$targ`if(" and a bunch of other various crap.

You can fix that quite easily actually. Has to do with overall MQ changes being made. You can look to other UI's changes for examples since its basiclly all the same thing just stuck in with different graphics but its usually a change like this

$char(manaregen) -> or whatever it was
${Me.ManaRegen} -> or whatever the exact name/spelling is you can look it up. If you know how to search for text in an XML file and you conceptually grasp the basics of programming you can make the changes. You dont need to understand complex C or pointers or anything. Give it a shot.

I see EQ was patched now that I'm at a puter with MQ on it.. GuessI'll work on it sooner than later since I'm going to have to fix it for myself.

It will give me a chance to make some changes that I was wanting anyway I guess. :)
