I dont get it

Post by hghrtghn » Tue Feb 10, 2004 11:23 pm

I want to use macroquest. I think i have enough knowledge to macro and even to get the program compiled. But i dont have VC6 nor do i have the money to buy it. Surely you cant expect someone to pay hundreds of dollars for some software they will only use this once. So what do i do? suggestions please.

The first thing you do is use the search function.

This has been covered, numerous times, and there is another way to do it.

Don't bitch, don't whine. Try reading.

Normally when you would want help you might, just maybe go to a forum titled "help". Then you just might run across a stickied post at the top of the page that could solve your problem.

I dunno maybe something like this:

Doubt it...

Why do I get the feeling that Posts: 1 is going to be "How do I run/use" a macro ("What exactly IS a 'macro', anyway?") and Posts: 3 is going to be "Why doesn't it work? Does it have anything to do with the patch to EQ? I keep getting 'Incorrect Client Version' when I try to run MQ2"
hghrtghn wrote:and even to get the program compiled.
Most obviously not.

You're definately not ready yet.

[Quiz]: How many Xylobot L-users does it take to compile and run MQ2?

Don't worry, you'll be using it over and over and over again, 'cause SOE will patch over and over and over again...

And be thankful I missed this thread yesterday

Flame retardant Sunglasses

Post by Xoze » Wed Feb 11, 2004 9:00 am

You know what's worse than a potential new MQ user asking questions that have been covered already in another forum. No? Good let me tell you; 10 follow up posts flaming him from head to toe with no useful information in them, other than blatant lack of comical talent. I have recently had to purchase flame retardant sunglasses just to browse these forums. I think someone needs to come through and change some diapers because it seems to almost be a race now to see who can come through first with the most sarcastic and childish flame possible for anyone that as not read this entire phpBB2 word for word. I know people get tired of seeing covered topic's asked about, but a simple "Check the help forum". Or for those who like to put some much time and effort into their flames, a hyper link would be a great way to display your technical genius and overwhelming wisdom.

What's worse than that? Someone who posts a complaint/attempt at a flame on their very first post on the messageboard of a project to which they have contributed absolutely nothing.
