Then....(dare I ask)....why can't you just write this yourself? Obviously you know enough about scripting after RTFM to be able to do this!doanchano wrote:thx to scrime for his Necrofarm script I can incorporate the charm script into his and have one great huntin tool.
Not all of us got EQ for xmas. Some of us are aware of the capabilities of the zones/mobs/player classes. But thanks for the heads-up. I'll keep that in mind next time I go farming for phat lewtz there.doanchano wrote:And i do know that charming is risky biz if charm breaks but the pet you can get in ME makes it well worth the trouble. There are Xi Vius and Xi Xaui clerics in that zone that have 10k - 12khp and can complete heal themselves. Toilers are not a peoblem for these guys at all.

But that's not what I came here to discuss....so I'll let it go.MQ Forums wrote:oanchano

Code: Select all
| set PetID to the ID of your pet when you charm it
|Make sure this line is called soon after Sub PetLoose, in case the charm failed
/if n $char(pet)!=@PetID /call PetLoose @PetID
...
Sub PetLoose(ID)
| Click the circlet, of course :)
/cast item "circlet of shadow"
/face fast away id @ID
/sendkey up down
:RunLoop
/face fast away id @ID
/if n $spawn(@ID,distance)<150 /goto :RunLoop
/sendkey up down
:StopLoop
/if n $char(ismoving)==TRUE /goto :StopLoop
/target id @ID
/call cast "screaming terror" | some sort of failsafe cast routine
/call cast "charmspell"
/return

My main is a cleric, one day I get a tell out of the blue from some necro I don't know just saying "thanks". I've no idea what he's thanking me for so I ask him, turns out I had left a corpse at the gy of some zone and he was soloing near it. He'd gotten pounded pretty bad and lost his pet so used wake the dead and my corpse got up and healed him.. :)Elric wrote:And I had a chanter charm one of those Xien whatevers, and saw it Healing the chanter while it fought, when there was an add.. was the damndest thing.
That's awesome. I'll have to try that some time.blueninja wrote:He'd gotten pounded pretty bad and lost his pet so used wake the dead and my corpse got up and healed him.. :)
Careful this doesn't try to anchor you there at all times, though. I can see you bugging out to this loc, getting things underconrol, then getting stuck there just as things turn bad again...unable to run away. Also, once here, the mobs chasing you are now too close for you to rinse/repeat as necessary.doanchano wrote:I do have an idea that might work and i have not yet tried. Running to designated x,y,z co-ordinates that are safe from any threat of adds.
Bwahaha! I had a necro use my corpse afore.. it was nuking something it needed to keel.. and there was my jauntily walking, happy ass. Just nuking away, while my nekkid self stood there, awe-struck and staring at it.blueninja wrote: My main is a cleric, one day I get a tell out of the blue from some necro I don't know just saying "thanks".
