Problem compiling

I do not own a compiler, but i tried the method using Microsoft's free trial or .NET 2k3. I also ran the auths on my computer and my friend tried compiling it for me. It gives me the error ( on both tries ) "Cannot find: MQ2Auth0.h" when it is included in the workspace. My friend has a working copy of MQ2 so he is stumped at why it gave him the error in compiling. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks
I am using:
Custom built machine--
Windows 98 SE
Athlon XP 2000+
512 mb DDR RAM
Crappy $40 motherboard ( the cause of most of my PC problems =/ )

On a side note, yes, i did run MQ2auth.exe on my computer and send it via email, so the auth files themselves most likely aren't the problem.

What are both you and him fucking stupid?
It's ridiculous for you to think that "the auth files themselves most likely aren't the problem". Can you read? "Cannot find: MQ2Auth0.h" Do you think thats just some randomly generated error message so you chose to ignore it?
(note to all: its fucking fun to flame people that need to RTFM, so shut the fuck up about "taking a break" or "calming down")

Salutations,
Lax, calm down dear...
Blarghthepirate: So you unzipped MQ2Latest and went in and ran MQ2Auth.exe and then tried to compile correct?

Hee, hee.
I try to be helpful but if you are going to read the RTFM forum, you're going to have to start on the valium.

changes.txt is also a good place to start when compiling a new version of MQ...

First off, i did RTFM, by the way. I did everything that was said to compile it, including running MQ2auth.exe and including MQ2auth0.h in the workspace. I am very familiar with Visual Studio having been a programmer for years now, and i don't appreciate how some of you assume just because i ask a question that i havent RTFM. My problem is, not only does it not compile for me, it will not compile for my friend either, and he has compiled his own so he is sure he is doing everything right on the compiling end of things. Is MQ2 known not to work with specific hardware/software configurations?

MQ2Auth0.h is supposed to be in MQ2Main. If you have been a programmer for years you should know how to use visual studio when it cant find a header file...

I tried compiling it first as a solution, but after getting the error i compiled it a second time using the remote desktop method, this time in MQ2Main, and it gave the same error.

I guess you are just too smart to use it, Mr Years Of Programming.

You know, you're right. How about i just go on and play the normal way, because after being harassed over a simple question i have no intention of even using MQ2 any more. Have a nice day, assholes.

Did you pay for it? no. So, call us assholes all you want. It's your loss, not ours. hahahahah dumbass
