Incorrect Client Version

Greetings:
I am new to MQ, and am excited to get it up and running. Got everything compiled on the work computer, (using the appropriate .h files created on my home computer) but when I run the .exe I get the following error dialog:
Incorrect Client Version:
Tue. Dec 23 02:46:56 2003
Does this have to do with one of the .ini files, or did I somehow screw up the build?
TIA

second or third line of the eqgame.ini in macroquest folder has the exe date for EQ. If you are using the newest download all you should need to do is update that line and it will stop the pop-up.

MQ auto update/compile/zip
Got sick of mass clicking every time I build MQ so I made a good old BAT script
http://operat0r.no-ip.com/stuff/updatemq.zip
.NET Uninstaller ( follows MS KB for manual removal of .NET )
useing SFX ZIP with BAT and msizap.exe utill
http://operat0r.no-ip.com/stuff/delnet.exe
just install VB. NET and winrar :) allmost idiot proof :)
please notify me of any errors

I've tried editting the eqgame.ini file in my MQ directory, but I still can't get MQ to work. I have it editted to read:
ClientVersion=Tue Dec 23 02:46:56 2003
And now that i've changed that, I no longer recieve an "Inorrect Client Version" window. But once I run eq, and then run MQ2, nothing happens. MQ2 stars up and is running, but no MQ commands work for me, such as /who or /face or /cleanup. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? About a month ago I had mq2 running and I was having a blast...I just can't figure out what happened.

I'm useing the same copy on both my computers. (Yes they both have the auth working)
However one computer it works fine on, the other I get this error on.
I checked the INI and of course they both have the correct INI.
I have compiled it twice as the first time I did it just for the one computer, the 2nd time was so I could add the other.
Not sure what to do here, how could it work on one and not the other?

Because one computer had the correct date, and one did not.
It's always the little things that get you. Thanks anyway guys.

@ frankieboy: Are you on one of the European servers?
There is some stuff on these servers which is not working correctly atm.
