Maybe all they can do, or have acted on, is related to macros (and the dumbasses behind them) using these "experience cheats"?

Level 3 info here from FH. 1) Offset could make ANY NPC turn in for experience + 2) Offset that can make an item (specifically quest item) non-lore + 3) Macro turn in to NPC that gave quest = 24 hours levle 65 + 300AA (aka Yantis).

Yantis doesn't use other companies by the way, that was a bogus excuse. The exp exploit was a guy in seru giving a coin to take elsewhere to turn in for good exp. Simply offset hack him to take coin for quest and offset hack coin to be non-lore and with a macro getting the coin en masse and returning it back in completely nullified the levelling system.

The pp on the other hand is another story. Maybe when I gather more info from my sources.

Last I checked, you're not level three over on the FH boards.

How did ya get yer hands on some of this bogus information? And as far as I checked, too, there are no macros that turn anything into anything else... And all item offsets are handled server side, not client side. So there can be no such offset to turn a lore into a magic non-lore.

thats not possible. As is now seru was 4 turn in at a time... You could barely do 1-65 in 4 weeks let alone 24 hours sorry but this isn't the right exp macro. And FH would really appreciate you not posting level 3 info on level 1 boards. How did you get the info anyway?

This infomation is totally false.

The exp hack is a simple quest, with a stackable item... no need to complicate it further.

FH itself is a primary reason for problems like this in general.

Their whole Level system is flawed. None of the info should be as easily available as it is, regardless of level. That whole deal over there is a joke, just meant to feed the egos of some people.

Posting this info here or any other public area is just plain dumb. Wether hacks like this exist, the problem is giving otherwise moronic people the idea. They rub the two brain cells together and eventually through searches or through leaks at places like FH they get info on it or other things.

Then things get to where we are today....A big mess for those of us that do what we do. My rule is: don't get involved with details like this in a public forum. I work on things with people I know in private. I contribute things that have a very low likelyhood of being abused.

Out of the places where things like this are discussed, the MQ boards have been pretty good at sticking to the technical aspects of the project, contrary to what other places do that just contribute to abuse.

This whole situation pisses me off. It's not the first time I'm sure it won't be the last.

This is not FH. There are no "levels" here. The devs police the boards to keep hacks and plat macros off this site, but other than that there is no level system. You are either a dev or a user.

Thanks Mckorr I was just stating that this is a public board and neither communities like hacks/plat macros posted to be viewed by all. Anyway glad to see that motd2k can comfirm that.

It was the coin quest which was being exploited by Yantis. You said all offsets handled server side? Wow shows how much you know. ANYONE can get 10+ offsets on the FH level 1 board. They are all clientside and work. The offset hacking for lore and anyNPC turnin is "clever" and "complicated" as many of the SOE announcements have said, but it is not impossible.

I know what I am talking about and was just shedding some light on a murky topic filled with lots of propaganda and guesses.

The difference is that FH wants to horde information, keeping it for the "elite". We don't allow hacks/plat macros because the purpose of MQ is to automate routine tasks, not ruin the game for other people.

On that note, I can't see that anything posted here is "Top Secret". There's no harm in discussing theories as to why so-and-so has been nerfed, whether or not that nerfage was a "level 28" hack at FH or not.

I agree with Mckorr, here at MQ everyone is either a dealer or a user.... erm... I mean a developer or a user. Anyway does it really matter weather this is level whatever on FH? Even if it were it's apparently nerfed so whats the point in keeping it secret anymore? I may be wrong though, maybe there is a use for nerfed hacks... I don't see it though.
