hello need help with compiles

ok i don;t have VS or any other probgram got MQ 1 from a friend and they have been compiling for me lately but as of the patch for some reson noone has been able to give me a working copy of MQ2 so i descided to compile it myself but that presented me with problem # 1 i dunno how to compile if anyone could give me any help or message me that would be great or some direction to where to go instead of flaming me much would be appreciated =0) oh btw using dev-C++ for now a free compiler ..

Ok... where do get the idea that anything other than Visual Studio will work?
