That's all correct.

Make sure you have a macros folder, so it can find things to work with.

Then I honestly have no idea.

Gonna have to shoot it to the devs, I think.

lax figured it out for me, its dkaa's fault.. had to remove the prelinking... you can figure it out from there.

Of course, it's always my fault.

I accept full responsibility.

im having a similar problem to JGC84's posts. i have everything compiled correctly, using 20031128a, but have the same problems. (I'm running on windows ME as well (if that matters) and have ActivePerl installed.) been using the post on getting started from EQMule00. i have NOT dl'ed/installed any version of CVS, so not sure if thats my problem. I read in a post from Lax to just use the winzip file, using MQ2. JGC84 says that Lax figured out the problem and had to remove the prelinking. how is that done?
I'm somewhat of a noob myself to this, so please bare with me.. Been searching around these forums for the past 3 hours trying to find answers and the search option is beginning to irritate me. I've tried this in using both EQW AND normal EQ, both with the same results... nil. EQW version i'm running is 2.35a (most recent). Which brings me up to another question.. if EQW is compatable (100%) with MQ, should i highlight the "fix eqclient.ini" or uncheck it? just asking due to the possibility of conflicting with MQ.
I compiled MQ using VC++ 6. Zero errors. have the MQ icon in my task bar.. yet i still get nothing after "/filter macros all" then "/help macro".
I HAVE, however, been able to target someone and /macro follow.mac on them sucessfully.... this was both on EQW and normal EQ.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated :o

Thanks

- Messy

Neither of you followed the compile steps completely. You therefore forfeit your priveledge of free support for lack of reading the information you needed to read before compiling, and I'll be changing your user ranks now. also, the latest download is from december.

yes. yes. read the manual. I was having the same problem, then almost kicked myself for missing the obvious.

Nice rankings btw lax. Remind me not to get on your bad side

#1 if you read anything about byte alignment you're looking at the wrong instructions.
#2 the compile instructions are on the link shown at the download page, FOLLOW THOSE and you might deserve respect
#3 dont call me a wiener if you cant read big bold red letters and the note next to the download link that says if you do not read this you forfeit support
