Can't post *anything* in the MQ2 Forums

Post by Benwin » Thu Nov 20, 2003 11:19 pm

So I will post it here. (they're locked for new posts & Replies)

Lax, Great work on the requiring authentication for MQ2!! everyone in #macroquest thinks this is an AWESOME idea, will stop certian *cough*Zerix*Cough* Morons from posting pre-compiled binaries against the wishes of the devs..

Is there a way, on the next MQ release, to put that authentication requirement into MQ1, to also 'break' it for people who like to distribute pre-compiled MQ?

- Just a thought -

No just the announcement forum was locked, i took care of it so that it has proper permissions now. only moderators are supposed to be able to post there so mckorr locked it, but it made things difficult so i set the right perms ;)

Personally I'm not going to concern myself with MQ1 any longer and most of the devs feel the same way (actually I havent heard one say they wish to update it ever). Come next patch it'll probably break and wither away.

Swap Forums :)

Can you switch the MQ1 Dev forums with the MQ2 Forums then, the way they're presented on screen? No sense having to skip down past 4 forums that aren't going to be used to get back down to the forums where the production code is discussed.
