Macro recovery from LD possible?

I'm not sure how possible this is, but remember reading about a way for a macro to tell if it was in-game as opposed to the character select screen. Does this mean it's possible to recover from a LD? If so, how?

Is there a way to tell the difference between character select screen and server select screen? How about if you get booted all the way back to log-in?

I believe it's in the works but not finished yet. I've seen some code in the MQ source to show it's underway...
