what happens to the UI if MQ is not active.. will the MQ Enhanced UI still show Non MQ info? what happens?

It says unknown eqtype.

So this means a 'versitile' UI uses both MQtypes with EQtype displays. As a example the targetwindow would use $char(name) AND <name> in the same box. This way when MQ is broken (post patch) the UI still works.

Another option would have a ui folder call MQenhanced and one called default. If MQ is broken type /loadskin default 1 to get to the default UI.

It would be nice if XML had some sort of programming features.

Saw this thread while parusing for an idea on how to change the Unknown messages that rise on my buff bar when I don't have MQ2 on(IE: Post patch.).

Still attempting to figure it out, myself. But I think I'm going to go to bed at this point and leave it for the weekend. If anyone has any ideas, go ahead and post them. Other than that, I'm off.

I just don't play if I can't get MQ to run. :)

JK, I just have a default version of the UI I use for when MQ isn't working. Most of the time I don't even load it, I just live with the unknowns in my windows. <--- Lazy
