Ring Events

With the advanced SuperWho capabilities of MQ, does anyone know if there's a way to determine whether a given ring event (such as the dust ring, mud ring, etc) is actually up and the boss will spawn, or whether it's down, but a PH would spawn at end of cycle?
For example, if the Dust ring is UP in PoEarth, a Dusty Warder is present, and after killing him, and doing the entire ring, a boss mob (Perfected Warder) will spawn, and drop phat loots. If the Dust ring is not currently up, the Dusty Warder is still present in zone, you kill him, do the entire ring event, only to find a PH spawns in place of the loot dropping boss.
Thanks,

/who npc guy
stone/rock(cant remember which) = rock
mud = mud
elem = dust
veg = veg
arbitor = arbitor
say if mudditeguy is up that means Mud ring isnt up, same for the rest
you can spawn PH Arbitor if arbitorguy is up, but he will have no loots

If I read your post right, the same mob is up whether the ring is "up" or not. It seems the same series of events except that PH spawns in on case and the boss in the other.
If that is the case, then, unless there are other "current" factors to look at, you would not be able to determine which mobs are going to spawn.
If there are other "inidcators" in the zone you can use, great. But, you won't be able to predict what mobs are going to spawn.

No maybe you misunderstood
if the "guy" is up that means the Named will not spawn upon compleation of the rings. in Earth the rings are Always up but the named will only spawn every 3.5 days.
So Say you /who npc guy and this comes up:
arbitor guy
elem guy
stone guy
That means, Arbitor PH will spawn(no loot one but still flags)
Vegrog and Mud rings are up for loot.
Dust=Elem will spawn PH if you complete the ring = no loot
Same for Stone aka Pegerin ring = no loot

Well, according to the original post:
TI994a wrote:... if the Dust ring is UP in PoEarth, a Dusty Warder is present...
And:
TI994a wrote:...If the Dust ring is not currently up, the Dusty Warder is still present in zone..
I read that as the "Dusty Warder" is up in both cases.
With what you put in your later posts, then yes. But, that is not what was said in the original post.

What I wrote in the original thread was correct. The Dusty Warder is the lvl 70 npc you kill to kick off the ring event. He's up, whether the ring event itself is "up" or not. I guess I didn't do a good job of clarifying what an "up" ring meant tho. You can kill the dusty warder, do the hour long ring event, and get the PH at the end. 30 minutes later, the Dusty Warder will respawn. You could turn around and do the whole thing over again. And again. And again. And again, hoping that eventually the real boss will pop at the end of the event, and drop the loot the raid is working for. If the ring event is going to spawn a PH at the end, we refer to the ring as being "down". If the lootboss will spawn at the end, we refer to it as "up".
See, the problem with the ring events is you have no way of knowing whether or not there will actually be a loot boss at the end. They all have a 3 day timer, so if your raid zones into poe, and kills dusty warder, and does the hour long ring event, it's a crapshoot as to whether or not you'll actually get a lootboss at the end. If another guild had done the ring the day before, you're out of luck, and no way of knowing. With MQ, it at least gives a heads up now, so we don't have to waste an hour of raid time doing a meaningless ring event only to find out the 3 day timer hadn't been reached yet, and we wouldn't be getting a loot mob.
Hope that cleared it up for you Dood.
Yalp, is there anyway to use this same technique for avatars in Air also?

With the most recent patch you can check track in PoAIr and find out which rings are up. I forget the name of the mobs that signal that the trigger is up but i'm pretty sure they are named after they are named after the Avatars. Your guilds trackers should know

I'm sorry... I still don't understand how to check to PoE rings. Could you please explain it again?

If there is a "guy" on /who that means the ring is not up. Example, "stone guy" would mean the Peregrin Ring would not be up.

Thanks for PoEarth ring information, was what I was missing.
In PoAir after patch the mobs to check for are:
/who npc apparition
#an apparition of wind
#an apparition of smoke
#an apparition of mist
#an apparition of dust
All are lvl67 untargetable. When any of these are up, the appropriate ring is up, and by up I mean it will spawn the Avatar with loot.

Anyone know if there's some time between you kill the boss and the guy spawns? IIRC last time we did these rings the guy would pop pretty much immediately after boss but we just killed the rock boss and I don't see a guy. Did they perhaps change this?
EDIT: Nm, just read about the /who bug...

Actually PoAir rings are bugged atm, respawning after 6 hours of so. So you can kill Avatars again and again.

Our guild just did the mud cycle last night. So today I zoned in to check and did a:
/who guy npc
Got back that there were no npcs in the zone by that name...no matches.
So...is the info above wrong or am I reading it wrong? the earth cycles are 3 days at LEAST one of the "guy" mobs should be up. Right?
