Nothing here will help you unless you get a copy of Visual C++ or Visual Studio .NET. For all practical purposes, one of these is REQUIRED to compile MacroQuest. So, there is no use asking any more questions or reading any more on these boards until you get your hands on one of these.and besides the fact I dont have C++, Visual studio version X, Microsoft .Net, Detour or any of the many applications I apparently need
Its legal to charge a fair price. and for hitting a few compile buttons.First MQ is published under the GPL = no sale

EqMule00 first let me say I HIGHLY respect your posts here and appreciate them beyond telling. I must however point out that your quick guide to getting started is somewhat dated and not applicable to people using visual studio.net. Might I suggest linking to the Readme.html in the zip? I found that to be very easy to follow.EqMule00 wrote:click the link in my signature... it doesnt get any easier than that, we allready have had over 1500 other ppl being able to follow that step by step, so i think there is a chance you can make it too
donations for this month's patches.Dunno about you, but where I come from, people bill you per hour, not per minute =PFreQuency wrote: Its legal to charge a fair price. and for hitting a few compile buttons.
Lets say my time is worth 20 an hour = 33cents a min takes me about 2 mins to compile a version of MQ woot 66cents coming my way![]()
But seriously don't mean to derail fromt he point here jsut thought i'd add in the fair price part.
**EDIT
Just read over it again i don't mean to sound like an ass above. Still too early damn dogs drug me out of bed
